Nmap Setup

Nmap is a security scanner that is developed by computer networks expert Gordon Lyon (Fyodor). We will now show you how to do Nmap setup on Windows.

Windows Nmap Setup

First of all download the windows version of nmap from here

Let’s start the setup by double-clicking “nmap-xx.x-setup” file

Do everything as shown on the images.

Setup operation ends here.

We can go to the place you saved the files in and run the program.

For default, it’s stored in \Program Files (x86)\Nmap

You can either start it up from the command prompt giving the nmap websitename.com command

or from the shortcut on your desktop named Nmap – Zenmap GUI
